CPCCOHS1001A: Work Safely in the construction industry
(National White Card) is a mandatory requirement under the law for all persons wishing to carry out construction type work anywhere in Australia.
It allows persons doing the course to develop basic skills and knowledge in relation to risk management and relevant Workplace Health & Safety obligations and requirements.
The Course is available to all persons including those persons from overseas wishing to come to Australia to work in the Construction Industry.

What is meant by Construction type work?
- to erect, construct, extend, structurally alter, convert, fit out, renovate, repair, refurbish, commission, disassemble or decommission a building or part of a building
- any work connected with site preparation
- any excavation or landscaping work done in connection with construction work
- assembling or installing prefabricated components for use in construction work
- taking apart a structure or part of a structure into its prefabricated components
- demolition work or asbestos removal work (requires certificate of competency)

Mutual recognition of interstate induction cards:
Persons who have completed the CPCCOHS1001A: Work Safely in the construction industry (White Card) Course can use the "White Card" anywhere in Australia.
The course can be completed via Correspondence (Hardcopy) or Online.

On successful completion of this 3-6 hour Course you will receive a laminated Workplace Health & Safety induction card (white card). This will allow you to complete construction type work as well as enter construction sites.

The Correspondence Course:
The comprehensive, flexible and user friendly correspondence Course includes:
- Our "SAME DAY" policy. This means th
at on the day we receive the funds we post the course to you and once we receive your open book short answer test, statutory declaration and certified copy of ID we assess it and post the Workplace Health & Safety induction card (National White Card) and Statement of Attainment, which is recognized within the Australian Qualifications Framework, back that same working day.
- Our course delivery has been designed with simple instructions and explanations to enable you to complete all three sections quickly and easily. It takes 3-6 hours to complete the course, but you can take longer if you wish and complete it in your own time.
- It caters for ALL persons, whether you have knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety issues on a construction site or none at all.
- Our Study Guide that includes Sample Forms, Workplace Plans, Checklists, additional information to assist you to comply with general Safety requirements
- For your convenience a postage paid envelope to return completed short answer test is included.

The Online Course:
You do not need to be "online" to complete this convenient, time saving and easy to complete course:
- The Username and Password to access the Course (Work book that includes Sample Forms, Workplace Plans, Checklists, additional information to assist you to comply with general Safety requirements) is emailed to you when we receive the funds.
- Should you need your White Card in a hurry, you can Fax or email us the completed documents and upon successful completion we will
email a Statement of Attainment with your White Card number to you. This letter will allow you to work until your White Card arrives. We post the Workplace Health & Safety induction card (white card) and letter of competency, which is recognized within the Australian Qualifications Framework, back to you that same day.
- Our course delivery has been designed with simple instructions and explanations to enable you to complete all three sections quickly and easily. It takes 3-6 hours to complete the course, but you can take longer if you wish and complete it in your own time. You do not need to be online when completing the course as you can save the course materials to your hard drive (computer)
- It caters for ALL persons, whether you have knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety issues on a construction site or none at all.
